INGREDIENTS

  • For Jhal Muri

    • 2 cups puffed rice/muri

    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions

    • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes

    • 1/4 cup chopped boiled potatoes

    • 1 - 2 finely chopped green chillies

    • 1/4 cup chopped cucumber

    • 1/4 cup masala chana dal

    • 1/4 cup salted peanuts

    • fresh coriander as required

    • 2 tbsp tamarind chutney

    • 2 tbsp green chutney

    • 1 tsp amchur powder

    • 1 tsp red chilli powder

    • salt as needed

    • 2 - 3 tbsp mustard oil

  • For Bhel Puri

    • 2 cups puffed rice

    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions

    • 1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes

    • 1/4 cup chopped boiled potatoes

    • 1 - 2 finely chopped green chillies

    • 1/4 cup masala peanuts

    • fresh coriander

    • 2 - 3 tbsp tamarind chutney

    • 2 - 3 tbsp green chutney

    • 1 tsp amchur powder

    • 1 tsp red chilli powder

    • 1 tsp chaat masala

    • salt as per taste

    • 2 - 3 papdi (crushed)

    • 3 - 4 tbsp nylon sev

PREPARATION

    In a bowl, mix puffed rice, add onions, tomatoes, coriander, boiled aloo, salt, red chilli powder, amchur powder, masala chana dal, salted peanuts and freshly chopped cucumbers.

    Drizzle some green chutney and tamarind chutney and squeeze some lemon juice.

    Finally pour some mustard oil in the jhal muri and mix well.

    Serve fresh Jhal Muri in a paper cone.

    In a bowl, mix puffed rice, add onions, tomatoes, coriander, boiled aloo, salt, red chilli powder, amchur powder, chaat masala, masala peanuts.

    Drizzle some green (thin) chutney and tamarind chutney. Break some papdi in the chaat and squeeze some lemon juice and mix well.

    Add crushed papdi, sprinkle nylon sev on the bhel puri and serve fresh in a paper cone.
