Poetry, live music, and lively discussion will make up this unique evening. Gulzar will be interviewed by theatre producer Salim Arif, who will inquire as to Gulzar's observations about the evolution of Mumbai over the past sixty years. While that's happening, Amod Bhatt will set some of his poetry to music, and Vibhavari Apte-Joshi and Hrishikesh Ranade will be singing them. Mental Health Mela 

Dialogue is hosting a three-day event throughout the city to normalise conversations about mental health in honour of World Mental Health Day. Participate in mindful barre classes, creative cafe sessions, comedy fundraisers, support groups, and film screenings—all in an inclusive and welcoming environment—at any of the Mela's participating cafés, gyms, comedy clubs, or community centres. From October 10th to the 12th, this event will take place at several locations around Mumbai, including Physique57, Chaubara by Veda Factory, Blondie Café, Mukti Manch, 3ArtHouse, and more. Each event has its own registration cost and entry price structure. This is a must-attend October event in Mumbai! 

Swanand Kirkire Live!

This concert will feel more like a get-together of friends than anything else. The man behind songs like "Bawra Mann" and "Piyu Bole," Swanand Kirkire, is making a live appearance in Mumbai. The point of his Baawra Live performance is to get the crowd involved, so they can sing and clap along. This is the concert for you if you're looking for an intimate, welcoming, and memorable experience. National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) 

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in collaboration with Gallerie Splash, will host two seminal retrospectives. More than forty works of art, including paintings, sketches, print charts, and Ratan Parimoo's early line experiments influenced by Egyptian and Jain art, will be on display. Naina Dalal's collection of more than 150 artworks includes drawings, paintings, and prints. Visit Sir Cowasji Jehangir Hall, National Gallery of Modern Art, from 11 AM to 7 PM (Mondays closed) until October 12th. 

Celebrate Cinema

The thirteenth annual Celebrate Cinema, a three-day celebration of the entertainment industry, is taking place at Whistling Woods International. Panel discussions, master lectures, workshops, and tributes unite veterans, up-and-comers, and fans of the field. Among the many highlights are the workshops covering filmmaking, music, dance, design, and new technologies like AI and VR, as well as sessions with Gulzar Ji, Waheeda Rehman, Randhir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and YouTube creators Ashish Chanchlani and Viraj Ghelani. The event will take place at the Whistling Woods International in Goregaon (East) at the Film City Complex from October 8th to the 10th. The entry, too? From INR 150 and above!

This is the most noteworthy event of the month. Enrique Iglesias, who has been renowned as the king of Latin pop for thirteen years, is making a spectacular return to India. With singles like "Hero," "Bailamos," and "Tonight," Enrique Iglesias has achieved international fame. His shows are full of heartfelt, passionate, and infectiously catchy songs. He is one of the most famous people in the world, having sold over 180 million records and receiving numerous accolades. Now he is bringing that magic to Mumbai.
