One of the most well-liked tourist destinations in Mahabalipuram, the Shore Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is regarded as one of the oldest structural stone temples in South India and was constructed in the eighth century AD. Constructed in the seventh century AD, the Pancha Rathas, also known as the Five Rathas, are a collection of massive rock-cut temples. Every temple is open everyday from 6 am to 6 pm.

It is one of the biggest bas-relief known to exist and is situated in a rock-cut cave. The winter season is the ideal time to see Arjuna's Penance. Every day from 6 am to 6 pm, the -site is accessible.

Dedicated to Lady Durga, the Mahishasura Mardini Cave is a temple carved out of solid rock. It has lovely sculptures and carvings that represent episodes from Hindu mythology. Winter is the ideal season to visit the Mahishasura Mardini Cave.
