A renowned name in the Marathi film industry, Addinath made his acting debut with his father and actor Mahesh Kothare's 1994 film 'Maza Chakula'.
His directorial debut 'Paani' (2019) won the national award for 'Best Feature Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation' at the 66th National Film Awards. It was produced by global icon Priyanka Chopra's Purple Pebble Pictures.
Addinath has successfully produced an interesting array of television shows including, 'Jai Malhar' and 'Vithu Mauli', and 'Ek Hoti Rajkanya'.
His 2013 film 'Zhapatlela 2' was the first-ever Marathi true 3D film, and it featured him in the lead role.
He won a lot of praise in 2021 for brilliantly playing the role of cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar in the Ranveer Singh-starrer sports drama '83'.
Addinath was last seen in the critically-acclaimed 2022 Marathi film 'Chandramukhi' alongside Amruta Khanvilkar.
