Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt is on a roll! The actor is making headlines with her professional and personal life post her wedding to Ranbir Kapoor.
Be it her star-studded wedding with actor Ranbir Kapoor, her Hollywood debut with ‘Heart of Stone’, or her pregnancy announcement, the stunning actress is one to live life on her own terms.
To add to her Bollywood roles, she’s also announced her maiden production project ‘Darlings’ with Netflix. The actor dropped the teaser and has her audiences hooked already.
Alia’s debut project as a producer, ‘Darlings’ is directed by Jasmeet K. Reen, and stars Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew, and the mom-to-be herself.
According to Netflix, ‘Darlings’ is a dark comedy drama that tells the story of a mother-daughter duo (played by Shefali and Alia, respectively) trying to find their footing in Mumbai, and seeking love and courage in extraordinary situations.
The teaser opens with Alia narrating a tale of a frog and a scorpion. And while that happens, a series of events play out on the screen.
Vijay and Roshan’s characters are shown to be in a tiff which leads to disastrous consequences.
On the other hand, Alia and Shefali’s characters, which look straightforward, may be involved in a murder. Are they as innocent as they look?
‘Darlings’ will be released on Netflix on August 5, 2022. It is being co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. The superstar shared the poster of the film and described it as 'funny, dark, and quirky'.
