​September 23 is National Cinema Day and here are some movies you can catch in the theatres for as less as Rs 75 for a ticket.

​1. Chup

​Starring Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salman and Shreya Dhanwanthary, ‘Chup’ is a psychological crime thriller with Dulquer in the lead role. It has been directed by R Balki.

​2. Avatar

​Remember this beautiful 2009-sci-fi adventure movie? ‘Avatar’ is re-releasing in the theatres in case you missed the 3D version the last time. So go discover Pandora one more time. The film stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez and is directed by James Cameron.

​3. Sita Ramam

​Starring Mrunal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan, Sumanth, Rashmika, ‘Sita Ramam’, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, is about an orphaned soldier whose life changes when he receives a letter from a girl called Sita.

​4. Brahmastra Part One - Shiva

​Forget about the reviews, watch it for the fun of it. Starring Mouni Roy, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, ‘Brahmastra Part One - Shiva’ takes you on a fantastical story of a young man who discovers superpowers and is link to a secret society.

​5. Everything Everywhere All At Once

​It’s all about the meta and the multiverse now. ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ is about a Chinese immigrant who gets drawn into an adventure across the multiverse. Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schneinert, the film stars Jenny Slate, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu.

​6. Top Gun Maverick

​Tom Cruise may have ruled ‘Top Gun’ back in the day. But this chapter is all about Miles Teller. Also starring Jennifer Connelly, the movie is Cruise returning to service about 30 years to train grads for a special assignment. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinki.

​Starring Garret Dillahunt and David Strathairn, ‘Where The Crawdads Sing’ is about Kya, abandoned as a child, who raises herself in the marshlands of North Carolina, and how her world is altered when she meets two out-of-towners.

​8. Dhokha Around The Corner

​Directed by Kookie V Gulati and starring R Madhavan, Aparshakti Khurana, Darshan Kumaar, Khushalii Kumar, this film is about a delusional house wife who’s taken hostage by a terrorist and her husband who’s been accused of cheating.
