The trailer of director and writer R Balki’s upcoming film ‘Chup’ is out, and it boasts of an ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Pooja Bhatt, Dulquer Salman, and Shreya Dhanwanthary.
‘Chup’ is a crime thriller and based on the trailer, it is going to be one gory film.
A new kind of serial killer has been added to the list of serial killers in Bollywood movies courtesy R Balki’s ‘Chup’.
This one is an artist who mercilessly murders film critics and carves stars on their head as rating. The tagline of ‘Chup’ is ‘revenge of the artiste’.
The trailer features shots of gruesome murders and Sunny Deol chasing the serial killer interspersed with those of Dulquer and Shreya’s romantic moments.
The director has also borrowed scenes from Guru Dutt’s ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’ to pay a tribute to the legendary filmmaker.
‘Chup’ is slated to release on September 23, 2022, and the music for the film has been composed by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. This is the first time Amitabh is donning the hat of a music composer.
R Balki is known for light-hearted movies such as ‘Paa’ and ‘Cheeni Kum’ and ‘Chup’ is far from that, so it’ll be interesting to watch how that fares for the director.
