After entertaining the audience with ‘Dasvi’, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is all to treat his fans and followers with another power-packed performance.
The film, titled ‘Ghoomer’, is helmed by director R Balki. The actor-director duo has earlier worked on the 2009-film ‘Paa’ and this will be their second project together.
‘Ghoomer’ also features actor Saiyami Kher, who took to Instagram to share the first look of the film on June 15, 2022.
This moment, featuring Abhishek and Saiyami, gives us a tiny peek into the kind of intensity we might witness between them.
“All my life, I’ve dreamt of living the life of a professional cricketer. ‘Ghoomer’ gave me that opportunity,” Saiyami wrote in her caption and called this role the most challenging one, so far.
This Abhishek and Saiyami-starrer is expected to be a sports drama, and as per reports, the ‘Dasvi’ actor will be playing the role of a cricket coach, while Saiyami will be a player.
Veteran actor Shabana Azmi also is a part of this project. She had shared the first look of her character on Instagram a week ago.
The genre of sports drama seems to be gaining popularity among the audience and the film fraternity. In the past year, we’ve seen the release of Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Jhund’, Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ and the late Rajiv Kapoor’s ‘Toolsidas Junior’.
In a couple of weeks, on July 15, 2022, Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Shabaash Mithu’ will also be hitting the big screen. This film is based on India’s legendary batter Mithali Raj.
