The ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel ‘House of the Dragon’ was announced two years ago.

The prequel is based on George RR Martin’s book ‘Fire and Blood’ and is set two hundred years before the events in the ‘Game of Thrones’ series.

On July 20, HBO finally released the much-awaited official trailer of Game of Thrones prequel series, 'House of the Dragon'.

The series stars Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and Paddy Considine as King Viserys I.

The series is about the ‘Dance of the Dragons’ war between Targaryen heirs Rhaenyra and Aegon II who are aiming for the Iron Throne.

Will Rhaenyra be the first woman to ever rule the Seven Kingdoms? Will she set new orders if she becomes the next to rule Westeros? Only time will tell.

The first season of ‘House Of The Dragons’ will have 10 episodes.

It will premiere on HBO Max on August 21, 2022. However, it will begin streaming in India a day later on DisneyPlus Hotstar on August 22.
