Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, married fitness instructor Nupur Shikhare on January 3 in a registered ceremony at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, with the pre-wedding activities beginning on January 2, 2024.
Rather than make the customary dramatic entry, Nupur, who is well-known for his physical fitness, decided to jog from Santa Cruz to the wedding location in Bandra. He later rejoiced by dancing briskly to the sounds of the 'dhol' as soon as he arrived at the location wearing a vest and shorts.
The pair is now all set for their lavish social marriage, which is being held in Jaipur till January 10, 2024. In the end, the pair will exchange vows in a customary ceremony on the tenth at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur.
When Nupur was training Aamir Khan during the COVID-19 lockdown, the couple first crossed paths. In November of the following year, they got engaged.
Nupur Shikhare got trolled for wearing vest and shorts to his wedding venue. "Why is he wearing a baniyan?" a user questioned on Instagram. Is Manish Malhotra still away on holiday? "Lagta hai shadi se bhag raha tha, bichara pakda gaya," remarked a different user.
For her nuptials with Nupur Shikhare, Ira Khan skipped wearing the traditional lehenga. She instead opted for dhoti pants and looked amazing.
The Taj Aravali Resort on Kodiyat Road in Udaipur will host the traditional wedding, reportedly. About 250 people, including relatives of Nupur, Ira and Bollywood superstars are expected to be there. It's been said that 176 rooms have been booked for guests.
Following the festivities in Udaipur, the pair will throw a lavish wedding reception at the NMACC in Mumbai on January 13.
