Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor, who is all set to welcome her first child with entrepreneur Anand Ahuja, is enjoying every moment of her second trimester. She announced her pregnancy last month on March 22, 2022, via an Instagram post and ever since has been making waves on the internet with her maternity fashion.
Sonam recently shared a collection of photos where she looked every bit a queen in a pearl white statement saree by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla paired with a bandeau-style strapless blouse.
Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor, the pre-pleated saree was accessorised with a vintage gold necklace, matching earrings, bangles, evil eye bracelets, and rings – all from her mother Sunita Kapoor’s closet – and a pair of embellished silver juttis.
Sonam's hairdo was simple, and sleek while her pregnancy glow was further enhanced with a smokey eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, and glossy nude lips. Rhea shared the look on her Instagram profile and described her sister as ‘desi aphrodite’.
The mom-to-be actor was dressed up for famed designer Abu Jani’s birthday bash on Sunday. The designer duo is one of Sonam’s favourite designers and she is often spotted wearing ethnic outfits by them.
When it is Sonam Kapoor, expect her to add that tinge of glamour to a free-flowing silhouette like kaftan. In another look, she is carving her own maternity style niche - wearing a black embroidered, sheer kaftan that came with scalloped edges paired with a black bralette beneath.
On May 31, 2022, the Bollywood diva took to Instagram stories to give us yet another glimpse of her on-point maternity style. She posted a mirror selfie, which featured her wearing a simple yet chic all-black dress.
Ever since the couple announced their pregnancy via Instagram, Sonam has been documenting her journey on the social media platform. Sonam and Anand have been married for six years and they are expecting their first child.
