Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI made a comeback for its March 2023 edition. Held at the Jio World Garden in Mumbai, the four-day style fiesta kicked off with panache on Day 1 on March 09, 2023.
It has brought with it a host of beauty trends that will reign over the spring and summer season of 2023. Below, we round up our favourite make-up and hair trends from Day 1 of Lakmé Fashion Week.
At designer Ruchika Sacheva’s Bodice collection display, the models wore their hair in braids, done in an old-school style wrapped in ribbon.
At KoAi’s collection showcase, the hair displayed a sleek and sharp act swivelled into a serpentine updo, the perfect hairstyle for the approaching summer.
At Anavila Misra’s show, models had their hair done in twisted bun style on both sides - reminding us of the character Princess Leia from 'Star Wars'.
At Akaaro's models fashioned a longer lower kohl line that definitely tapped into the edgy and goth trends.
Slick-back hairstyles that looked like the models just stepped out of the shower gave a cooler aesthetic to designer Vaishali’s collection display, an ode to life under the ocean.
Ditching gold and shimmery lids, on Day 1, soothing lavender eyeshadow looks took centre stage, courtesy of Doodlage. Not only is it easy to incorporate, but it also serves as the perfect inspiration for this spring.
