Putting all speculations to rest, the couple finally got married at their favourite spot - Ranbir’s home balcony. Sharing the wedding pictures, Alia wrote, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married.”
While the Kapoor sisters and most of the wedding guests donned Manish Malhotra outfits, the bride opted for a hand-dyed ivory organza Sabyasachi saree and paired it with an embroidered hand woven tissue veil.
Looking gorgeous in pristine ivory emsembles with minimal makeup, Alia accessorised her look with a mathapatti and choker necklace in uncut diamonds and hand strung pearls from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery collection.
Ranbir Kapoor looked dapper in an embroidered silk sherwani, a silk organza safa and shawl with zari marori embroidery as the groom.
Alia can’t wait to make more memories as her caption read, “With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together…memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.”
