FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week

March 2022 came to a memorable end with the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022, the much-awaited joint phygital fashion extravaganza by the two fashion giants.

Held between March 22 and March 27, 2022 in Delhi. The fashion week was opened by award-winning designer Rahul Mishra who presented his ‘The Enchanted Garden’ collection. It was inspired by his time in Italy and the show was hosted at the Italian Embassy in the capital.

The FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 2022 event, much like always, not only brought many interesting names from the fashion world to the runway but also brought a long list of Bollywood stars as showstoppers. Here’s a quick recap on who all graced the runway.

On Day 1, Bollywood actor and author Soha Ali Khan turned showstopper for the INIFD Launchpad show. She walked the runway dressed in an ivory white off-shoulder corset top which was paired with a beige and pink tulle skirt, designed by Kumari Sandhya, a budding designer from Mumbai.

‘The Family Man’ actor Manoj Bajpayee graced the ramp for his friend designer Samant Chauhan. The collection was Samant’s attempt to recreate the rainy streets of Paris and the ensembles featured shades of black, white, and grey. For the show, Manoj donned a grey suit in Bhagalpuri silk, a traditional Indian textile from the duo’s home state Bihar.

Global fashion influencer Masoom Minawala was the showstopper for designer Varun Bahl’s couture line. She rocked the stage in a powder pink lehenga-choli set with a net cape in a similar hue.
