To start with, not many know that actor Parineeti Chopra and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha met at the London School of Economics and have been friends since.
According to reports, it all started when Parineeti was shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Chamkila’ in Punjab and Raghav had visited her on the sets.
Their dating rumours started when they both were spotted together outside a Mumbai restaurant in March. A few days later, the duo were seen together at the Delhi airport too, followed by them watching an IPL match in Mohali.
After being together for a year, the duo got engaged in a private ceremony at the Kapurthala house in New Delhi on May 13. The engagement was attended by Priyanka Chopra, Manish Malhotra, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, former finance minister P Chidambaram, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, and Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray.
Sharing pictures from her engagement ceremony, Parineeti recalls how she fell in love with Raghav. She wrote, “When you know, you know. One breakfast together and I knew - I had met the one. The most wonderful man whose quiet strength would be calming, peaceful and inspiring. His support, humour, wit and friendship are pure joy. He is my home.”
Parineeti is over the moon, as she further wrote, “As a little girl in awe of princess stories, I had imagined how my fairytale would begin. Now that it has, it is even better than I had imagined.”
Making it insta-official, the caption of her engagement picture read, “Everything I prayed for .. I said yes!” The duo looked absolutely stunning in custom made ivory blush pearl ensembles by designer Manish Malhotra.
Needless to say, the couple look madly in love with each other. We wish them a lifetime replete with love and happiness.
